Zigzag Exchange was envisioned as a cutting-edge platform for peer-to-peer (P2P) orderbook exchanges and featured a dedicated utility, Swap, for token pair swapping on the zkSync network. The project's primary goal was to elevate the user experience in crypto trading by leveraging the efficiency and security of layer-2 solutions. Faced with the challenge of developing a clean, intuitive frontend to handle hundreds of thousands of transactions, our objective was to make the exchange accessible and user-friendly across multiple locales. A key aspect of this project involved mastering zkSync technology—a layer-2 solution offering Ethereum-level security with enhanced privacy and scalability. Our learning curve was smoothed by the comprehensive resources provided by zkSync developers, facilitating an easy transition from mainnet to zkSync code.

Our journey began with crafting a user interface that resonated with users familiar with Layer 1 and fiat exchanges, while simplifying the process through a P2P orderbook model. Although the creation of Solidity code for the platform was handled by Kedar, our role focused on ensuring the frontend's functionality and efficiency.

Main Steps in Our Approach:

1. Questioning: Identifying key user needs and project objectives.
2. Research: Exploring zkSync technology and existing P2P and fiat exchange models.
3. Hypothesizing: Developing theories on how to best integrate user-friendly features with the technical capabilities of zkSync.
4. Experimenting: Testing and refining the UI/UX to meet the unique demands of the project.

To meet the client's needs, we developed multiple user stories to understand the platform's flow and functionality from the user's perspective, which guided us to a robust solution. Our agency's expertise in Web3, UI/UX design, branding, and web development was instrumental in navigating the complexities of crypto exchange development.

We introduced an exceptional user interface tailored for crypto exchangers, offering custom listings for token pairs and a personalized trading experience.
